About the event

Losing a beloved companion animal can be one of life’s most heart-wrenching experiences—yet pet loss grief is often misunderstood or minimized. The bond we share with our animals is real, profound, and deserving of care and compassion when it ends.

In this special online program, Nancy Curotto, Psy.D., LLC will guide participants through the emotional landscape of pet loss. Together, we will explore why this loss can feel so overwhelming, how grief may show up in unexpected ways, and what healing can look like—without judgment or timelines.

This program is designed for anyone who has lost, or anticipates losing, a cherished animal companion and is seeking understanding, validation, and gentle support.

About the presenter: Dr. Curotto has

over 20 years of clinical, supervisory, and consulting experience in family practice medical settings, community mental health centers, child and adolescent treatment facilities, religious establishments, the Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice, various governmental agencies…
