About the event

Individuals encountering insurance obstacles and denials rarely push back. Though state and federal regulations increasingly require mental health care coverage, challenges remain. Resources that encourage individuals to "know their rights" may be informative, but less helpful to someone in crisis or in frustration who urgently needs the insurance

obstacles removed.

This presentation will introduce you to Cover My Mental Health founder, Joe Feldman, and to actionable resources including templates, worksheets and talking points for helping individuals and their clinicians to overcome prevalent insurance company barriers for those seeking mental health and substance use disorder care.

You'll learn:

  • How to understand and respond to common reasons for denial

  • Immediate, no-cost actions you can take when care is denied
