About the event

Eating disorders are often mischaracterized as conditions that primarily affect women and girls—yet millions of men and boys struggle silently with disordered eating, body image concerns, and related mental health challenges. This stigma and lack of representation can lead to delayed diagnosis, misidentification, and limited access to treatment.

"Beyond the Stereotype: Eating Disorders in Men and Boys" is a timely and informative conversation and event designed for clinicians, educators, caregivers, and community members who want to better understand the unique experiences of men and boys affected by eating disorders. Participants will gain practical tools to recognize the signs, reduce stigma, and provide meaningful support in both personal and professional settings.
