Special Events Committee Members

Mental Health America of Illinois (MHAI) is seeking creative and driven individuals to serve on an independent Special Events Committee. This committee will be asked to help plan and manage our current events/fundraisers, research and brainstorm ideas for future events, and assist with the overall development goals of the organization. This is your chance to work on premiere non-profit events and gain valuable fundraising and special event skills, all while helping out an important cause.

This committee will initially meet once a month as a group, with additional meetings closer to event dates. Primary responsibilities will include special events planning and promotions, future event research, and general fundraising work. Additional opportunities for internship/volunteer service or other opportunities within the organization may also be possible. Committee members will need to commit to serving for one (1) full-year, meeting one night per month.

Students seeking a full internship for class credit are also encouraged to apply and would be assigned additional hours. There is no pay, however there will be many perks including complimentary tickets to events.

If you are interested in a position in marketing, public relations, event planning, promotions, nonprofit management, or simply just looking to volunteer for a great charitable organization, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
